Controllability of Lighting Systems
Ben Franklin TechVentures2 was designed and constructed using the Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. This standard promotes sustainability in building design. To address LEED’s controllability of lighting fixtures measure, the lighting system within the building provides uniform general ambient lighting, augmented with individually controlled task fixtures. These features allow lighting to be customized in consideration of the specific tasks at hand, enabling occupants to tailor the workspace to their individual needs.
