Cernostics Receives $1.2MM NIH Grant for Esophageal Cancer Diagnostic Technology

The National Institutes of Health awarded Bethlehem-based Cernostics a $1.2MM grant to further validate the ability of its TissueCypher™ Barrett’s Esophagus assay to predict the future risk of progression to esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer is among the fastest growing cancers in the world; incidence of this highly lethal cancer has increased by more than 500% since the 1970s.
