Podcast Interview Describes Why TechVentures Selected for SSTI AwardPosted March 1, 2013 in Ben Franklin News
In Fall 2012, the State Science and Technology Institute (SSTI) named Ben Franklin TechVentures® the winner of its Building Entrepreneurial Capacity award. TechVentures was named a winner of SSTI’s Excellence in Technology-Based Economic Development awards, serving as a national model for states and regions investing in science, technology and innovation to grow their economies and create high-paying jobs. SSTI recently posted a podcast featuring Wayne Barz, TechVentures Manager, in which he responds to the following questions (approximately 17 minutes):
- How do you reach out to foster a community that can draw people in and get buy-in from former entrepreneurs to help build a stronger entrepreneurial culture in the region?
- What metrics have you found most useful in demonstrating your value to partners?
- What lessons have you learned along the way that might help other organizations that are trying to build a stronger entrepreneurial community?
