The 20-foot-wide silver dish perched on top of a Bethlehem office building looks like a huge satellite-TV dish from the 1990s. But it’s actually a solar dish with technology a Wyomissing company plans to take worldwide.
In its new office near The Works, CEWA Technologies will start manufacturing solar dishes next year. Most people associate solar power with the flat, rectangular panels seen on rooftops and in fields, known as photovoltaic panels. Using the dishes to concentrate solar power is more efficient and takes up less space, said President and CEO Paul Eisenhuth.
