The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/NEP) Board of Directors announced the appointment of a new chair, a new member, and a new executive committee member at its September board meeting.
Jan S. Heller is the new board chair. She has served on the BFTP/NEP board for 26 years, as vice chair from 1994 to 1996 and chair from 1996 to 1999. She has also led as finance committee chair and on the executive committee. She previously worked as executive vice president of Wells Fargo Bank, NA and as executive vice president of finance at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Ms. Heller has a consultancy, Golf Championship Events, LLC. She also currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Lehigh Valley Industrial Park, PBS39, and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.
Robert A. Oster, CPA, is a new board member. Oster joined CPA, tax, and accounting firm Concannon Miller in 1979, after a six-year career with Price Waterhouse in New York City. He advanced to be the firm’s Chief Executive Officer in 1998. Recently retired, Mr. Oster’s current community service includes finance chair for both the Northampton Community College Foundation and the Minsi Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and finance committee member for St. Luke’s University Health Network.
Kenneth P. Guito has been appointed to the BFTP/NEP board executive committee. Mr. Guito is an independent consultant, providing business development advisory services to the life sciences industry. He has worked in life sciences for more than 30 years, 25 years for Sanofi Pasteur Inc., where he most recently served as General Manager, Sanofi-Topaz, Inc., a subsidiary company. Mr. Guito has served on the BFTP/NEP Board of Directors since 2012, and previously on the Boards of Directors for Pennsylvania BIO and Women’s Resources of Monroe County, as well as on the Advisory Board of the PA Academy of Science.
