Ben Franklin Hosts Lehigh University Start-Up Job Fair

The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP_NEPA)  hosted the Lehigh University Start-Up Job Fair at Ben Franklin TechVentures® on February 22. Lehigh undergraduate and graduate students met with Ben Franklin clients Intuidex, Mussel Polymers, Optamo, OptoVibronex, TerraHealth, LBN, and Raven Biomaterials, as well as other regional companies, to share and fill upcoming internship opportunities, as well as full- and part-time roles. The event was designed in partnership with Lehigh University’s Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity & InnovationCenter for Career & Professional Development, and the student-run New Ventures Club

“We are happy to bring together students and regional technology firms for job opportunities,” said Angelo J. Valletta, President and CEO of BFTP_NEPA. “It’s part of our mission to facilitate interactions among Pennsylvania’s outstanding colleges and universities and early-stage technology firms and established manufacturers. These connections will benefit our technology ecosystem now and into the future.”

“Students get valuable real-world experience, a stronger resume, and potential post-graduation employment through these interactions,” added Wayne Barz, Chief Investment Officer of BFTP_NEPA. “Regional companies get the support of smart, engaged, capable students to accelerate their companies’ development.”
