Ben Franklin Northeast Announces Staffing Updates

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania (Ben Franklin Northeast) has announced two staffing changes within the organization’s portfolio team, effective July 1, 2024.

Kimberly Valuntas has been appointed the TechVentures Portfolio Manager.

In this role, she will manage the 40+ early-stage companies housed at TechVentures, a 130,000-square-foot incubator/post-incubator facility located on Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus in Bethlehem. Portfolio companies include AI and software developers, advanced material and semiconductor companies, and life science companies, among others. She will be actively engaged in the Lehigh Valley’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through outreach initiatives, partnerships, and events.

Valuntas has been with Ben Franklin Northeast for six years; most recently serving as the Regional Manager for Greater Reading/Berks and the Client Services Specialist prior. She brings 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and client support to the team.

She earned her MBA from DeSales University and her B.S. in Marketing from the New York Institute of Technology.

Marisa Bishop has been appointed the Regional Manager for Greater Reading/Berks.

In this role, she will manage all portfolio companies located in Berks County while establishing and maintaining partnerships with industry groups, economic development organizations, local government, and educational institutions.

She has been with Ben Franklin Northeast for a year; prior to her new role she served as the Associate Manager for Client Development, helping to ensure portfolio companies receive the resources and support they need to thrive. Previously, Bishop was an Accounting Assistant at Riverfront Credit Union and Project Manager of Finance at the O’Pake Institute for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship.

Bishop earned her MBA from Alvernia University and her B.S. in Finance from Alvernia University.
