Calling on Life Sciences and Others to Donate Supplies to Fight COVID-19

On behalf of the hospitals, healthcare systems, life sciences companies and thousands of healthcare workers of Pennsylvania, we are asking all life sciences and other organizations to consider how you may be able to help bring additional supplies and other resources to our Commonwealth’s healthcare institutions so they can continue to test and treat patients with COVID-19.

An around-the-clock command center exists in the State Capitol to help ensure the state’s healthcare institutions have the resources and protective gear they need for this important mission. This centralized operation is allowing state government and our hospitals to more efficiently match requests with available supplies. They need your help securing supplies and expertise.

Attached via this link is a list of supplies and scientific and medical expertise we have collectively identified as most needed at this time. We ask you to share this list within your organizations, check your storerooms and supplies, and contact the Hospital Association at the below email address if you are able to contribute items or human resources on this list, or others that you may identify that we have not included. Your input into this list is also welcome.

The HAP Emergency Management team can be contacted at: hapem@haponline.org.

This is a critical time for patients and healthcare providers alike. It is incumbent upon all of us as leaders in Pennsylvania to do everything we can to address the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide whatever necessary to assist the first responders and healthcare providers who are putting their health and lives on the line every day to help patients.

Thank you for your consideration and for your support. BFTP/NEP thanks our partners at Life Sciences Pennsylvania for this information.
