Tractor-trailers will soon begin rolling in from Scranton to 40th and Pine streets in Philadelphia, delivering sets of apartment units that will have everything — walls, doors, floors, cabinets and even the kitchen sink — already installed. The $20 million project is a first in a couple of regards. It will be the tallest modular apartment complex in the city, and at five stories it is also the tallest ever made by Simplex Homes, the Scranton company that makes prefabricated single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.
