For three decades, Jan S. Heller helped guide Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania while strengthening the partnerships and institutions that support innovation and economic growth across the region. In recognition of that longstanding commitment, Heller received the Frederick J. Beste III Partnership Award at Ben Franklin Northeast’s Venture Idol 2026.
The award recognizes an individual or organization whose strong vision, dedication, and commitment have helped advance the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in alignment with Ben Franklin’s mission.
Heller’s service to Ben Franklin Northeast spans 30 years. During her tenure on the Board of Directors, she served as vice chair from 1994 to 1996 and chair from 1996 to 1999, in addition to serving as finance committee chair and a member of the executive committee. She continued helping guide the organization until her retirement from the board in 2025.
Her contributions reflect a career characterized by financial expertise, strategic leadership, and a deep commitment to the Lehigh Valley.
Heller previously served as executive vice president of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., and later as executive vice president of finance at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Her professional experience also includes work through JS Heller, LLC and Golf Championship Events, LLC.
Beyond Ben Franklin, Heller has contributed her leadership to the broader Lehigh Valley business community, including board involvement with Lehigh Valley Industrial Park.
Throughout those roles, Heller has helped strengthen the organizations and relationships that make regional economic development possible.
