Wayne Barz Selected to Lehigh Valley Business’ Power 100

Wayne Barz, Chief Investment Officer for the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, has been selected as one of Lehigh Valley Business‘ Power 100. The recognition honors leaders from the Greater Lehigh Valley who hold positions that give them the ability to shape our communities and influence our quality of life. The editorial staff of Lehigh Valley Business identified individuals “who make our laws, build our homes and highways, protect our health and safety, educate our children, support the vulnerable, and provide the spark that inspires innovation and economic growth … Our intent is to introduce our readers to the people who make the decisions.”

Barz is responsible for a portfolio of more than 180 companies and a team of six employees that works directly with them. He has worked with Ben Franklin for more than 20 years and has held his current position for nearly two. An active volunteer, Barz is the current board President of the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley, is a former board member and board Chair of the Rising Tide Community Loan Fund, and, earlier in his career, helped to establish the LV Land Recycling Initiative and the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center incubator in Allentown.

“Wayne Barz is an incredible asset to the Ben Franklin Technology Partners and to northeastern Pennsylvania,” said Angelo Valletta, Ben Franklin President and CEO. “Many companies and individuals have benefitted from his insight, advice, and hard work.”
