Appeeling Fruit, Inc., Dauberville, celebrated twenty-five years in the fresh fruit processing business with an open house that included speeches by PA Senator Judy Schwank and PA Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding. Appeeling Fruit’s first customers were bakeries looking for fresh peeled apple slices to incorporate into their desserts. In the 1990s, Appeeling Fruit began processing fresh, ready-to-eat apple slices that maintained a longer shelf life and were marketed to foodservice, school, and retail customers.
