Ben Franklin to Invest $150,000 in the Regional Economy

The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Board of Directors has approved the investment of $150,000 in support of regional economic development. Three companies from BFTP/NEP’s 21-county service area received funding.

BFTP/NEP announces the following early-stage company investments, which are provided in the form of loans with warrants.

Good2Go Software, LLC, Shickshinny, Luzerne County

Ben Franklin Investment: $35,000

Build market awareness, secure initial subscribers, and continue new partner development. Good2Go is a Software-as-a-Service workflow solution for the graphic arts industry, targeting small- to medium-sized commercial printers. The product allows clients to set up collaborative and easy-to-use communication and job management systems rapidly and inexpensively.

studio BE Mindfulness, LLC, Wilkes-Barre

Ben Franklin Investment: $100,000

Launch product enhancements that improve the customer experience and instructor engagement and further develop the team in sales, digital marketing, and product management. studio BE leverages a web interface to utilize scientifically-proven mindfulness techniques to empower employees to increase productivity, reduce stress, improve interpersonal communication, and strengthen resilience. The company aims to be its corporate clients’ private and secure end-to-end employee well-being platform, integrating studio BE content with each client’s current wellness programming. studio BE also serves consumers with its proprietary solutions.

 

Ben Franklin provides 1:1 matching funding for work with a college or university partner on technology-based innovation in established manufacturers.

Misco Products Corporation, Reading, Berks County

Ben Franklin Investment: $15,000

University Partner: Alvernia University’s O’Pake Institute

Support the implementation of Misco Products’ new master facility plan, including selecting a contractor for developing detailed production layout plans and building the new 90,000 square foot facility. The new facility reflects projected space requirements that will handle current and future needs for the next five years. Misco Products manufactures cleaning and maintenance chemicals for the industrial, food service, health care, and institutional markets.
